I bought a feather protector for my blue Quaker Loki last year. It’s a wonderful thing that he wears overnight in the summer because that’s when he plucks because that’s when his new feathers are coming in. So he’s just a mild plucker and not very determined; if he’s got his FP on at bedtime, he doesn’t bother trying to pull out the new chest feathers. I was wondering if it’s possible to get a feather protector made out of a more summery material as it gets hot down here in Australia December through February and some nights it’s still too hot in the house for Loki to wear his suit, which of course means the habit remains unbroken because I can’t be consistent. I have a flight suit as well and that thin material has stood up very well (I did say he was mild)–
